Make a donation in memory
Losing a loved one is a time of sorrow and reflection, as we think about the people and things that matter most to us and are closest to our heart. The Macular Disease Society often receives donations made in memory of loved ones who have asked for donations to the Society instead of flowers at their funeral.
Giving a donation in memory is a touching, practical and very special way of celebrating someone’s life because it remembers the causes that were dear to them. Every gift acts as a tribute and a contribution to help the good work continue into the future.
Donations in memory are very much appreciated by the Society. They help us continue our work to support people living with macular disease, as well as funding vital research into treatments and an eventual cure for the condition.

Book of Remembrance
The Macular Disease Society now has a Book of Remembrance in which members, friends and supporters of the Society can be remembered and where memories can be shared.
Entering a loved one's name into our book and setting up a page in their memory is a special way of celebrating their life. The page offers family, friends and colleagues an opportunity to contribute to a living memory - something that will celebrate their life and the impact that they made in a very personal way.
A celebration page is easy to set up and is open to contributions from everyone, wherever they are in the world. Visitors to the book may also make a donation to the Society in memory if they wish. Many people choose to mark birthdays, anniversaries or other special occasions with a charitable gift, and find this is a positive and practical way of remembering someone close to them.

To add a name to the Book of Remembrance, please e-mail the name of the person you wish to commemorate, their dates of birth and death, and your relationship to the person, to inmemory@maculardisease.org
