The second multidisciplinary Eccentric Viewing conference was attended by over 100 eye care professionals from both health and social care backgrounds.
This event served to further raise awareness of the techniques of Eccentric Viewing and Steady eye and to highlight why training and support around these skills should be considered a component part of good holistic low vision and rehabilitation services. These techniques can for many improve visual function and quality of life; complementing and enhancing the impact of other low vision and rehabilitation interventions.
Feedback from the participants show that they welcomed the opportunity to hear about the latest research, learn about various models of service delivery being used around the UK, elements of which can then be adapted to local circumstances and for the delegates share examples of good practice with each other.
A selection of materials and recordings from the day are available. The answers to the multi-choice question are available here and on the righthand column of this page.
